East Indian Rosewood Back and Sides (Patterned For A Dreadnought)
East Indian Rosewood (Dalbergia latifolia) is one of the most popular Rosewoods, other than Brazilian, among luthiers. It is a stable tonewood that has a varying range of color from light brown to deep purples and red. The measurements are:
Due to CITES restrictions, this wood cannot be shipped out of the United States.
Back - .130"+ x 8 1/2" x 22" - 2 pieces
Sides - .160+ x 5 1/8" x 33" - 2 pieces
These measurements are my minimum tolerance so the wood you get could, but not always, be on the larger side. If you need specific measurements, that will need to be worked out before shipping. Not all sets are sanded, therefore, there will be some saw marks from the milling process. Additional sanding will need to be done by the buyer.
