2nd Grade Sitka Spruce Bracewood
This listing is for one piece of brace wood. Two pieces should be enough to brace a soundboard. Pictures are for representation of the material.
This grade can have defects, color, mineral stains, wide grain, uneven grain, etc. So in some cases, 2 pieces may not be enough.
Sitka Spruce is a great material. It is probably one of the most popular soundboard materials on acoustic guitars. It is very stiff and ranges in color from white to light pink. Well quartered sets will display beautiful medullary rays.
Minimum Dimensions - 1 1/2" x 3/4" x 20+" If you order more than one piece you could receive a piece that is equal to or greater than the specified width. For example, if you order 2 pieces you could receive 1 piece that is 3" wide.
These measurements are my minimum tolerance so the wood you get could, but not always, be on the larger side. If you need specific measurements, that will need to be worked out before shipping. Not all sets are sanded, therefore, there will be some saw marks from the milling process. Additional sanding will need to be done by the buyer.
