"A" Engelmann Spruce Soundboard (Patterned for a Dreadnought)
Engelmann Spruce (picea engelmannii) produces a warm open sound with a good midrange. It does not have the headroom to be played hard like some other Spruces but it is great for someone that plays with a lighter touch; producing rich overtones. Some builders have claimed it to be a good replacement for German Spruce.
Dimensions - .185+" x 9" x 21 3/4" - This set is only sanded on one side as can be seen in the photos.
**Fretboard, pickguard, and bridge are not included.
These measurements are my minimum tolerance so the wood you get could, but not always, be on the larger side. If you need specific measurements, that will need to be worked out before shipping. Not all sets are sanded, therefore, there will be some saw marks from the milling process. Additional sanding will need to be done by the buyer.
